WSOP Day 6 Latest

WSOP_CHIPS Over the Moon

As we get down to the business end of the WSOP Main Event there are 100 runners left as we are at the dinner break on Day 6. Leading the pack is Darvin Moon with 5,700,000 chips followed closely by Antoine Saout on 5,281,000 and Billy Kopp on 5,180,000 . Jeff Shulman is in good shape with 3,200,000, but all of them will be looking over their shoulders as Poker legend Phil Ivey is slowly but surely peaking at the right time and lurks just behind the leaders with 2,680,000. Londoner and ‘Hitsquad’ member James Akenhead who has a genuine chance of winning still has his eyes firmly on the ball with a healthy stack of 2,500,000 and is closely followed by everyone’s favourite magician Antonio Esfandiari who is on 2,330,000. Reigning champion Peter Eastgate still has faint hopes with a stack of 940,000, while one time chip leader Matt Affleck has slipped down to 421,000 chips.

Casualties on the day whose WSOP Main Event dreams were shattered included former world champion Joe Hachem and former chip leaders Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier and Eric Cloutier. Also failing to advance was the always charming and highly skilled Michael Greco who had a great run and was very unfortunate to be eliminated.
