Richard Sinclair Wins Inaugural UKIPT Newcastle

The fifth leg of the PokerStars UKIPT headed to Newcastle for the first time from the 16th-20th June, creating one of the biggest summer turnouts seen in the UK as 554 players took to the felt over the weekend. Eight players returned on Monday to play out the final table, which eventually awarded first prize of £67,000 to the 36 year old pro player Richard Sinclair from Armadale, West Lothian, while Rajesh Verma from Birmingham took the runner up spot and £40,400.

This win represents Sinclair’s biggest live cash, although under the moniker ‘Daddddymufff’ he has in the past won over $100,000 for a runner up finish in the Sunday Warm-up on PokerStars.co.uk.
