London, October 18, 2011 – Online poker site PKR.com has announced the fifth outing of its popular Oktoberfest online poker festival. Starting October 21st and running through the 30th, the festival will feature 10 events and boasts an expected prize pool of $115,000.
The schedule for Oktoberfest 2011 is tailored to appeal to everyone with both speed and long running deep stack tournaments included in the schedule. Additionally, there is the player favourite Terminator event along with a new Turbo Triple Chance and a PLO event for the Omaha aficionados.
Cardroom Manager Neil Wright said, “The Oktoberfest has always been a big draw and something the players really enjoy. This year we have reworked the schedule with some new and fun additions, so it should be a ten days of great action!”
The closing tournament of the Oktoberfest, the $33 Main Event will have its final table televised and broadcast to millions across Europe on The Poker Channel and also be aired on youtube.com and PKR.TV – PKR.com’s very own web-based video channel.
