KOLOSOV LEADS EPT TALLINN AT END OF DAY 1A

A total of 68 players made it through Day 1a of the EPT Tallinn Main Event – from a starting field of 92. The survivors include all three Team PokerStars Pros who started the day: Arnaud Mattern, Marcin Horecki and Richard Toth.

The chip leader is Russian Maksim Kolosov with 102,725. EPT Prague champion Roberto Romanello is second with 83,175.

Also through are EPT7 San Remo champion Rupert Elder (who was the very last person to win a seat to the event on PokerStars), EPT7 London winner David Vamplew, Friend of PokerStars Pierre Neuville, EPT Barcelona champion Kent Lundmark, EPT Player of the Year Fernando Brito, Joe Ebanks, who won the World Series $10k 6 Max event in July, serial PokerStars qualifier David Sonelin and EPT Online Qualifier of the Year Martin Jacobson.

The Olympic Casino has a list of all players registered for Day 1a and so far for Day 1b of the EPT Tallinn Main Event.

The tournament director is Teresa Nousiainen from Finland who has worked on the PokerStars Baltic Festivals and the recent PokerStars Greek Poker Cup II.
The EPT €4,250 EPT Tallinn Main Event is running August 2-7 at the luxurious Swissôtel Tallinn in Estonia.

A total of 25 players – nearly all from Finland – took part in the €5,250 PLO – Turbo – “8 Max” event today. Big names who entered included EPT Copenhagen champion Jens Kyllönen, EPT6 Berlin runner-up Ilari Tahkokallio, Jani Sointula, Juha Helppi, Sami Kelopuro, Mikael Lundell and Dominikas Karmazinas. John O’Shea from Ireland, who was runner-up for last season’s EPT Omaha Award, was trying to get a head start for this year’s Award but bust early on.
