Now Europe’s largest poker festival in it’s third year running, Poker In The Park has attracted more pro’s than ever before, including Peter Eastgate and Jamie Gold who both gave free tips and advice at their equally engaging lectures.
The festival got into full swing with the Jamie Gold Charity Tournament on Thursday the 13th, at the Empire Casino’s Shadow Bar. With a £500 buy in and plenty of familiar faces at the tables, including Teddy Sheringham, Michael Grecco and Peter Eastgate, the event raised funds for the Jamie Gold Foundation. Set up after his famous victory at the 2005 World Series, the foundation has put on over 70 charity events, for selected charities such as the Abolish Slavery and Fallen Heroes coalitions.
