The PokerStars UKIPT Edinburgh has come to a dramatic conclusion after three full days of play at the Corn Exchange. The fearless Fintan Gavin has won the title and £61,500 first prize, beating first-time live deep-stack player Andrew Hawksby heads up and becoming the first Irish champion of Season 2.
A total field of 519 entered the £500 Main Event, creating a prize pool of £251,715.
This was shared between the 63 players who survived long enough on Day 2 to make the money.
