EPT Warsaw - Roland de Wolfe leads into Day 2

Day 2 of the EPT Warsaw starts later today and a plethora of star names are still in the hunt for glory, including chip leader Roland de Wolfe.

The early exchanges of European Poker Tour events past have often seen the majority of big names heading for an early bath. The EPT in Warsaw, however, still has a “big name” feel about it as players get ready for day 2. Currently heading the pack is Roland de Wolfe. The UK professional is sitting pretty with 67,150 chips and, despite 109 players remaining, must surely now be one of the favourites to lift the EPT Warsaw crown.

Hot on de Wolfe’s heels are plenty of poker names with European Poker Tour pedigree. Dario Mineri, an EPT regular and Team PokerStars Pro, has 43,975 chips. Germany’s Andreas Krause has 43,825 chips. Johnny Lodden and Betrand “ElkY” Grospellier are both also well in contention with a little over 41,000 chips respectively.

Some select names from further down the chip count list include Mark Teltscher on 37,100, Isabelle Mercier on 25,950, Richard Gryko on 22,250 and Gavin Griffin with 19,925.

Day 2 of the EPT Warsaw starts at 2pm local time today. The top ten players currently stand as follows:

359 players took their seats for Day1a and Day1b of the EPT Warsaw, each paying 21,000 Polish Zlotys for their entry. The eventual winner of the event will take away 1,358,420 Zlotys which is equivalent to €367,141.
