EPT Warsaw – Minieri and de Wolfe among leaders

EPT Warsaw

The EPT - Warsaw Day 3 begins today and, following a brutal Day 2, we are down to just 24 players with Dario Minieri and Roland de Wolfe both in good positions.

Minieri, a Team Pokerstars Pro, from Rome in Italy is sitting pretty in 2nd place just 54,000 chips behind the current leader, Sergey Shcherbatskiy.

Roland de Wolfe carried on his good form from yesterday and built on his impressive chip stack to finish the day on 169,900 chips. Both de Wolfe and Minieri are European Poker Tour regulars with a wealth of experience in the high stakes tournaments behind them.

Other well known faces in the chasing pack include Isabelle Mercier and Marty Smyth. ‘No Mercy’ Mercier has been very quiet on the tournament results front in recent times but appears to be returning to her very best form here. Her 55,600 chip stack is one of the shorter in play but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Canadian female star reach the final here in Poland. Marty Smyth is also nursing a short stack with 38,600 in front of him. The Irish pro’ will be a huge danger should he manage to double up his chips early on today.

The remaining 24 players look like this:

Sergey Shcherbatskiy - Russia - 265,900
Dario Minieri - Italy - 211,400
