Season 2 of the European Cash Game is here, and for the first time the event will be broadcast live on pokerchanneleurope.com. The players arrived in London on Sunday night – with players coming from as far as Los Angeles and from all corners of Europe.
To help settle their nerves and get them relaxed ahead of what will be long periods at the table The Poker Channel invited the players to attend the traditional “Players Dinner” at the Soho Hotel in London’s World famous West End. With a few players flights arriving late, 7 of the 11 were able to attend the 3 course dinner together with two lucky VIP trip winners who had entered a competition in the London Evening Standard.
Leo Margets (pictured) was not only the Last Women Standing at this year’s World Series of Poker, but she is also the first woman to take part in the PokerHeaven.com European Cash Game – and The Poker Channel was delighted that she was able to attend the dinner. Also in attendance was last year’s winner Eric Liu – who dispite the jet lag was in good spirits and looking to place a wager on anything at the dinner, and was last spotted heading into Soho to find somewhere to watch the NFL. Let’s hope he managed to get some sleep ahead of today’s filming.
