BERGSTROM LEADS EPT LONDON GOING INTO DAY 5

Swedish player Mattias Bergstrom is the EPT London chip leader going into Day 5. There are just 24 players left, all eyeing up a first prize of €750,000 and guaranteed at least £19,000.

Spanish Team PokerStars Pro Juan Manuel Pastor is currently in tenth place with 960,000. Pastor bubbled the final table of last week’s Estrellas Poker Tour event in Ibiza, finishing ninth for €7,450. PokerStars player Benny Spindler, third at the 2009 PCA, is currently in fifth place with 1,421,000 while British pro James Mitchell, who won the 2010 Irish Open, is in 11th place with 869,000.

80 players have already cashed including Team PokerStars Pros Ana Marquez and Sebastian Ruthenberg and Irish PokerStars player Dermot Blain who won APPT Macau in 2009.

A total of 691 players from 52 countries competed at EPT London this season creating a total prize pool of £3,351,350. 104 places get paid.

The EPT London Poker Festival comprises 31 events and is being held at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel from September 30 – October 6, 2011.
