EMOP Prague Championships

Vladislav Shuravin from Russia has won the third European Masters of Poker in Czech capital Prague topping a field of 163 players at the Spearmint Casino. After a deal had been done, Shuravin took down €39,675 for his victory from a total prize pool of €163,000. More news

The 2009 WSOP $2,500 buy-in Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) champion is Abe Mosseri, from New York. Mosseri collected $166,151 for first place and was awarded his first WSOP gold bracelet. Mosseri is a 36-year-old professional poker player who started out as a backgammon player. More

His most memorable hand at the final table was actually one he folded. Veckey folded after being dealt pocket kings pre-flop, when he was convinced his opponent, who made an all-in re-raise, held pocket aces. Veckey tabled his kings face up, much to the astonishment of the other players and the crowd. More

Collecting $278,804 for first place and a WSOP gold bracelet was thrilled Canadian Jeff Ahmadi. He triumphed in the 2009 World Series of Poker $2,500 buy-in Mixed Hold’em (Limit/No-Limit) event. Bahador ‘Baha’ Ahmadi is also known as Jeff Ahmadi by his friends. The 24 year old was born in Iran and immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of four. More
